We hope you have enjoyed reading our weekly blog and being able to stay up to date on all things first grade! This will be the last blog that we will be sending home. We loved every minute of our year together and look forward to seeing all our SECOND GRADERS next year. First grade is moving to "B Hall" next year, so we will all be on the same hallway together! If you ordered a yearbook, it is coming home today. Please have your child bring it back to school on Tuesday as we will be having a yearbook signing party that day. If your child did not purchase a yearbook, we will give them a stapled autograph book of pages for their friends to sign on that day.
Last Week Calendar
May 20th - iPad Collection Day! Your child needs to bring their iPad, charger, and charging school to school on this day. This is a change in procedure from past years. iPads will be stored at school over the summer as well as each day of school next year. District Policy has changed and iPads will not be coming home anymore.
May 21st - 5th Grade Graduation 1:00. If your child will be attending the graduation with you and a 5th grade sibling, please let your child's teacher know. You can check them out of class for the graduation.
May 22 - Spirit Assembly 8:00am. Due to limited space, it will be standing room only for parents.
May 22 - Last Day of First Grade - 12:30 dismissal
Monday - Field Day (see info below)
Tuesday - Game Day - bring a game or two to share (no electronics) and Yearbook Signing Day
Wednesday - Movie Day (bring a beach towel and stuffed animal)
Thursday - Last Day (dismissal at 12:30)
FIELD DAY INFORMATION
What is Field Day? Field Day is a day for our learners to celebrate a great school year! They travel to different stations throughout the day that include bounce houses, a water slide, sponge relay races, pool time, treats and MORE!
How Can You Help? Our PTO wanted to personally reach out to our TCE parents and ask for your help in making the event a success! We are looking for volunteers to help run games and activities for the different groups throughout the day. Please use the Sign-Up Genius to sign up for a time slot below. As we get closer, we will be reaching out with your specific station and instructions.

As a reminder, you MUST have a background check completed to volunteer for a station or walk with your class! You can complete through the district website and it does take time to process, so please follow up with the campus to make sure it has been fully processed and approved if you have not done so already.
